OUR
HISTORY

In 2012, I was your typical 12 year old who loved doing one thing: playing sports.  I could be found playing football, baseball or basketball at any time.

As a member of different travel teams, my parents were taking me all over the State of Florida to play.  This is when I  noticed that in many of these places, there were families who were economically challenged, and I wanted to make a difference. I combined my passion for sports with the desire to help kids and founded the Off The Bench Foundation.

Off The Bench Foundation (OTB) is a non-profit that collects new and used sports equipment to be distributed to kids and organizations who do not have the financial means to purchase the equipment themselves. I have successfully organized collections that have helped the Boys & Girls Club, elementary schools, victims of Hurricane Irma and various West Palm Beach community groups.

About the Founder Josh Greene: I am a senior at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.  I have continued to service others through volunteer work, as well as presently serving as the Student Body President of my school.

MISSION
STATEMENT

The Off the Bench Foundation (OTB) believes that sports gives children the lifelong benefits of being healthy and learning how to work with others. OTB is focused on providing sports equipment to impoverished and disadvantaged children by collecting gently used sports equipment of all kind and then distributing them to the communities they live in.
